Groups launch campaign to discuss GMOs, sustainability

The National Milk Producers Federation (NMPF) and U.S. Farmers and Ranchers Alliance (USFRA) during a press conference yesterday unveiled plans for a “straight talk” campaign to engage the food industry in a dialogue on sustainable agriculture production, GMOs and marketing practices.

The announcement comes a week after NMPF, USFRA and four other national farm organizations sent a letter to Dannon criticizing its pledge to eliminate GMOs in its three major brands of yogurt.
